Popping the Trance Cherry: A Firsthand Account of ASOTFESTASIA 2015
Trance music is all about emotions and love. When you listen to trance you forget everything and just feel the music. A trance music event is the best thing you can experience in your life and I was lucky enough to have A State of Trance Asia as my first event! An 8 hour event, ASOTFESTASIA 2015, was on June 6th, 2015 at the NCSI – SVP Stadium in Worli, Mumbai, India. The event had an amazing line up with some of the best trance DJs and producers in the world, including Super8 & Tab, Ørjan Nilsen, Ruben De Ronde, and Cosmic Gate.

The ASOT festival started with a warm up set by Armin van Buuren which was beyond amazing! Then came Ruben De Ronde with some superb tracks and the atmosphere in the crowd was indescribable, as everyone loved his set. Next was Super8 & Tab and Ørjan, there sets were both equally amazing and you should definitely check them out. Around 8:45, Cosmic Gate came to play and the crowd immediately went crazy! Their set completely blew me away.

Then finally at 10:00, after Cosmic Gate ended there set, the lights went off, and everyone knew it was time for Armin to play his set. Everybody started to chant “Armin, Armin, Armin” and finally he came on started playing ‘Together (In A State of Trance)’ which is one of my absolute favorites! Everybody was jumping, clapping their hands, and enjoying every track he played. But the best moment for me was when he played his most famous track ‘This Is What It Feels Like,’ and the whole crowd went crazy! We all started to sing the lyrics of and that moment was unforgettable to me, I know it will stick with me forever.

The event ended right around 12:00 and I believe it was a complete hit. I was so happy that I came, as it was by far the best experience of my life. If Armin is coming to play in your city, don’t miss it! It is the best show one can ever experience. His set is not something to miss.
