EFL029 – Electric For Life 029 – Gareth Emery

EFL029 – Electric For Life 029 – Gareth Emery

Electric for Life, the best thing about a rainy day. Today was a gloomy day in South Florida, but I had a new episode of EFL to keep me company, so the day wasn’t a total loss, right? As these EFL tour shows, come closer, I grow more and more perturbed by the fact that I can’t leave the tri-county area. But it’s neither here nor there, as I’ve decided to live my life to the fullest since this all happened. As always, Gareth Emery started on a deeper note with Maribou State’s ‘Home’ and the Jane Doze remix of Year & Year’s ‘Shine.’ Two tracks that definitely got me in the mood to dance, but unfortunately I was at work, and could not.

The first track that truly grabbed my attention in this episode was definitely EDX’s Indian Summer remix of Sam Feldt’s ‘Show Me Love.’ Originally by Robin S, you may be most familiar with the Steve Angello and Laidback Luke remix, but I assure you this one blows it away. This is truly a deeper remake of classic featuring a delicious synth line and incredibly addicting melody. After that, I’m extremely happy that Gareth chose one of my favorite tracks from Late Night Alumni’s recent release ‘Eclipse.’ I love Becky Jean William’s vocals so this was truly a treat. Another play of Lane 8’s ‘Hot As You Want It,’ which is making me extremely excited for the release of his debut album, ‘Rise.’ Then you have Dirty South’s remix of Zedd’s ‘Beautiful Now,’ which really made me want to dance as his tracks have always done for me.

And no surprise here, after the huge response on Twitter last week during the live broadcast, Gareth’s own track, ‘Hands’ was voted as the EFL Anthem. As I said last week, I’m loving this one, so I won’t bore you with the details. As always, he knows how to make my Tuesday’s perfect and with Andy Moor’s remix of ‘Find’ I was more than satisfied. Last but not least, I believe this was his first play of Anahera, Ferry Corsten’s new track under the Gouryella alias. Either way, I promise you I will never tire of this track. Instant classic! I hope you all had a great Tuesday.
