EFL031 – Electric for Life 031 – Gareth Emery

EFL031 – Electric for Life 031 – Gareth Emery

We all can agree that talent in any genre should be properly showcased. I personally love when new artists are highlighted in EFL, as their innovation is the driving force of electronic music. I’ll admit that I haven’t listened to a live episode of Electric for Life for a very long time, but now I’m back in the game, and I enjoyed this episode for one simple reason: the new talent brought to light.

‘Fall’ by Andrew Grant is one track you must check out. Those vocals and opening slide guitar, what a delicious combination. I definitely predict that this heart-pulsing track will become a huge summer anthem! Andrew Grant is a bedroom producer/song-writer from Los Angeles, who has been honing his craft for years. Andrew released ‘Fall’ as a free download 2 weeks ago.

Additionally, one amazing talent that recently came to light as well, is none other than Roxanne Emery, Gareth’s own sister. Roxanne’s collaboration with DJ Lema & Sol Shafer, ‘Summer Air’ was this week’s EFL Anthem and with its sweet beats, uplifting touch, and Roxanne’s angelic vocals this was truly the perfect track to win the popular vote. This collaboration may just be the defining festival anthem for this summer. It is the perfect track that we at Trance Life have been looking for, as it makes you feel as if you are driving down the beach, with the roof down and your hands up in the “Summer Air!”

In my opinion, Tritonal never receives enough credit for the amazing tracks they release. This American born duo has played numerous EDCs, Ultras, and Creamfields, and as such have a well-defined sound and a massive following known as the Trionians. Tritonal retains their fan base by releasing tracks that make you just want to dance like ‘Calling Your Name,’ which to this day is still one of my favorite songs. Unfortunately, I was unable to feature Tritonal’s ‘Gamma Gamma’ for you, as it has not been officially released yet. I would have loved to feature this for all of you as it stays true to the Tritonal-sound, but I highly urge you to listen to it when it’s out!

EFL031 exceeded all of my expectations, as Gareth Emery sure has a knack for selecting new artists to feature on Electric for Life. And remember, you can listen to the show live and chat to Gareth online each week at!
