EFL055 – Electric for Life 055 – Gareth Emery
This week on EFL055, we got a taste of the hottest acts in the EDM scene, such as Axwell, Ferhplay, Arty, Genix, Ferry Corsten and Ashley Wallbridge. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!
The podcast was fervent and featured nothing but electrifying tunes. The Track of the Week title went to a remix of the lovely Miss Adele’s latest hit ‘Hello.’ The original version of this song has successfully affected every possible music chart on this planet and has acquired an astonishing 300 million views in just 2 weeks. Producers and DJs of all genres have been taking their jab at it, using Adele’s prevailing vocals as a powerful weapon. Dutch producers W&W and Kenneth G are the latest to take a strike at this masterpiece with their compelling collaboration. Their bootleg, which we guarantee to be a festival gem, is a phenomenal electro-house hit: the superb basslines are definitely its charm. Congratulations, gentlemen! Excellent work!
This week’s EFL Anthem is awarded to the legendary Armin van Burren and his latest hit ‘Strong Ones.’ Scottish DJ and producer, Jase Thirlwall, compliments the track with a remix abundant with energy and his own innovative style of trance. “Jase Thirlwall is the latest talent to set Scotland’s dancefloors blazing with his diverse and pounding sets of the finest trance and techno. His energetic performances have become adept at generating great atmosphere wherever he plays.” He has previously been featured in van Buuren’s Universal Religion compilation series and has received an extensive amount of admiration in the EDM community ever since.
Between Arty’s 2015 remix of his own track ‘Kate,’ Corsten’s ‘Follow You,’ and Andrew Rayel’s remix of ‘Till The Sky Falls Down,’ it was very hard for me to pick a favorite moment in the show. It was an absolutely energetic show, and my tweets are enough proof, so turn it up!
