Markus Schulz and Kyau & Albert – Global DJ Broadcast – June 18th, 2015

Markus Schulz and Kyau & Albert – Global DJ Broadcast – June 18th, 2015

On the heels of Electric Daisy Carnival weekend, Markus Schulz brings us one of the best episodes of GDJB this year. Stacked with new tracks, as well as a guest mix by Kyau & Albert, this episode did not disappoint. GDJB featured new remixes, IDs, and a world premiere of a new Markus Schulz production.

The Markus Schulz remix of Morgan Page’s ‘Open Heart’ is definitely one track that caught the attention of the live listeners. As a proper exchange is due for Morgan Page’s remix of Markus’s ‘Destiny’ this track really hit hit home for fans of both artists. Morgan Page recently released his DC to Light album, which featured both the original and the acoustic version of ‘Open Heart.’

Another massive track that is definitely easy on the ears comes from the unicorn slayer himself. ‘Lost in the Box (London)’ is the newest track from Markus’s City Series. He recently debuted the track in London and it received a great reaction from the Schulz Army. Markus stated that this year he will be releasing City Series tracks dedicated to each city that has inspired him on his musical journey. There is no doubt in my mind that, Markus Schulz dropped this track during Electric Daisy Carnival.

Continually, the first track in Kyau & Albert’s guest mix brought a huge smile to my face. Mino Safy’s remix of Kyau & Albert’s ‘Follow the Waves’ will for sure be a track dropped throughout festival season. Kyau & Albert definitely produced a euphoric mix for this episode of GDJB. Best known for their softer side of trance, along with some true progressive, their sound has not changed much over there years, and I still love hearing them. This German duo started in the late 90s but didn’t rise to fame until the early 2000s. Kyau & Albert’s guest spot epitomizes what Markus Schulz tries to bring to the show each week. I promise you Trance is not dead. Personally, I would love to hear more from Kyau & Albert on GDJB in the future as they represent trance at its purest form.

I must say that I am highly impressed with this week’s Global DJ broadcast. For those of you that were lucky enough to attend EDC this year, I hope you listened for the tracks that were featured on this episode of GDJB.
