ABGT 146: Group Therapy 146 with Tom Fall Guest Mix

ABGT 146! It’s been awhile, I’m glad to be back. Who’s ready for this three day weekend ahead? I know I am and nothing is better than kicking it off with some Group Therapy. EDM aficionados often posses an insatiable desire for new talent that can deliver a refreshing twist to their ears. For Tom Fall, the challenge seems to come naturally. A native of Lohja, Finland, the 27-year-old producer began his journey into the realm of music at age 10. This week he is a guest on the avowed Radio, with Above & Beyond. This really inspires me and makes be believe a anything is possible.

The journey continues…

As you may know, Anjunabeats’ hottest rising star, ilan Bluestone takes the helm for the relaunch of the legendary Anjunabeats Worldwide series – following in the footsteps of names such as Arty, Mat Zo and Super8 & Tab. Whenever I see him in a mix, I can’t help but talk about him. ‘All These Wounds’ in ABGT 146 is mixed by rising Canadian artist Alex Klingle. This is Klingle’s debut on Anjunabeats and I am quite happy to see his new single ‘Cerulean’ steadily climbing up the charts, as he said he has been working intensely on its release. I have been following him for a while and I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes one of Anjunabeats’ top producers! Exciting!

‘Fly To New York’ is a dream speaking: a journey through the loss of love, and the dichotomy between reality and the dream of what could have been. Ahead of their headlining set at Electric Zoo, Above & Beyond are pleased to share a new music video as the official Electric Zoo: Transformed Anthem along with the announcement for the Record Of The Week with Jason Ross.

Ah, pure bliss to hear Above & Beyond with Ross. Gives me goosebumps. Jason has risen so fast and the Trance Life family has been following him since his rise.

One of the most successful producers to emerge from the disco-house scene in the 2000’s, Scottish producer Graeme Shepherd, better known by his stage name Grum, rose to fame in 2008. He was welcomed to Anjunabeats on May 8th of this year and we were promised to be hearing much more in the following months by this Scot. ‘Something About You’ seemed to be a favorite when today’s ABGT was live, thousands of you were talking about it. He is bringing Worldwide 05 to Australia this month with Ilan Bluestone as well. Be sure to join them on a journey down under!

I absolutely love seeing some Anjunadeep tracks here and there. I have actually been fluently listening to a lot of artists like Cubicolor and Erkka lately and that’s a little weird, me being such a trance fanatic. I particularly like this track from Finnish producer Yotto. ‘Slowly’ is a deep and sensual track that definitely gets me in the mood to dance. Just had to throw that in there!

Back to Tom Fall to close, as his love for trance, progressive, and house increased, the 16-year-old set his sights into the complex, fascinating world of music production. Over the years, the self-taught talent began his production endeavors. He has become one of EDM’s most highly-requested remixers and producers in just a few short months. The self-proclaimed studio rat will soon begin working on his debut album, slated for release on Armada Music. Fans can expect the album to encapsulate the different sonic elements that make an original Tom Fall record: unique, infectious, and memorable.
