ABGT 152: Group Therapy 152 with Arty

What a show, Above & Beyond had in store for us in ABGT 152! The show included new tracks from a wide range of artists, including Eric Pyrdz, Ilan Bluestone, Jonas Rathsman, and Tom Fall. All of these leading up to an incredible guest mix from the one and only, Arty!

No Arty, No Party.

Paavo hosted today’s show and as always, he did a fantastic job. Recently, the trio have been holding a Beatport remix competition for their new single, ‘Counting Down The Days’ featuring Gemma Hayes. The winner of the competition, Axis, was announced during the live broadcast. Congratulations, it was a great take on the track, if I do say so myself!

The show was handed over to the former Anjunabeats artist, Arty, during the last half hour. His guest mix was jam-packed with some of his incredible tracks, including a few from his first artist album, Glorious, which is out now! Arty kicked off the last half hour with ‘Closer to You’ featuring Clarence Coffee. His remix of ‘King’ by Years and Years, was gladly played as well, as recently it has been one of his most popular tracks. Another one of his hits included in this guest mix was his remix of London Grammar’s ‘Hey Now.’

After hearing Arty’s work on this week’s show I was beyond impressed. One listen and you can instantly tell he has an indistinguishable gift for creating these unique and highly complex melodies. I can definitely see why he one of the most sought after producers at the moment, and I think the live listeners on YouTube, will agree with me. They went wild when he came on!

Are any of you guys in the Miami, Florida area? If so, Above & Beyond are heading to STORY Nightclub on October 23rd. Make sure to grab your tickets here and look out for Robert, as he’s already purchased his ticket for the show!
