ABGT 158: Group Therapy 158 with Sunny Lax
I think we could all use some sunny skies being that it has been a cold winter so far and what is more soulfully warming than some Group Therapy? I look forward to this every week to soothe the harshness of reality. In ABGT 158, we have the final chapter of Andrew Bayer’s Anamnesis trilogy, tracks by Tom Middleton, Armin van Buuren, ASHWORTH, the return of Nitrous Oxide and of course, some “blue sky action” from Sunny Lax!
This particular Record of the Week is one I have been waiting for since ABGT 150! Andrew Bayer is quite known for his unique progressive house and ‘Memories’ shows just that. We just received some really exciting news with regards to the Anjunabeats tour as the first stops were announced. With the copious amount of addicting productions, I couldn’t be more excited to finally cross Andrew off my list of artists to see.
Amidst Cash Cash’s “Untouchable” tour, Grum puts an absolutely fantastic twist on their track ‘Surrender,’ as this week’s Push the Button. Having been featured on ABGT numerous times now, Grum takes this track to a whole new level and it’s clear that it’s a fan favorite! In my opinion, we will surely be hearing this often on the Anjunabeats tour as well.
Guest mix duties belonged to Sunny Lax this week and boy did he deliver! His much anticipated new single ‘Enceladus’ comes out November 21st and it really opened my eyes to the production skill of Sunny. Another track we heard in this guest mix that I really enjoyed was his remix of ‘Angel Flare’ by Tetarise.
Another outstanding 2 hours of Group Therapy has come and gone. I feel as though each episode gets better and better. Tune in next week for ABGT 159 to see who the guest mix will be and in the words of Mr. Tony McGuinness:
“Look after each other.”
